NBA Jock MKT Pick ‘Em – March 4th – Phoenix Suns at Dallas Mavericks

Kyrie Irving Over 24.5 points

Kyrie is going to put on a show at home as he faces his former Nets teammate, Kevin Durant and the new look Phoenix Suns. There is going to be heavy competition between the two teams as Kyrie and Durant face each other for the first time since the trades that broke up with Brooklyn Nets.

Kyrie has been shooting extremely high volume going for 22, 18, 22, 13, and 21 respectively in his last 5 games. At home on Wednesday night, Kyrie dropped 42 points in a masterful performance against a healthy 76ers team. He is virtually un-guardable and has more youth and athleticism than his counterpart Chris Paul, who is not going to be able to stop him on the defensive end.

I expect Kyrie and Luka to continue their offensive dominance in a Western Conference statement game Sunday afternoon and will easily crush the 24.5 point line, which seems way too low given the opponent and how Kyrie’s performance has been since becoming more acquainted with his new Mavericks team.

Kevin Durant Over 22 Points

For many of the same reasons Kyrie is going to smash his point total, we think Kevin Durant is going to do the same on his end. In his first two games playing for the Suns, Durant has scored 23 and 20 points respectively. He is now going to play against one of the worst defensive teams in the league with not one player on the other side that can guard him.

Durant is too big for the Mavs wings players and too quick for their big men; Durant is going to crush this 22 point line as he has higher than a 50% field goal percentage in his first games with the Suns, going 2-4 from three in both games and 10-15 and 7-10 in total field goals.

Bet the house on Durant tomorrow as he is going to hammer the over 22 point line against the Mavericks.
