Jrue Holiday Under 18 Points
Jrue Holiday had an absolutely monster game Wednesday night where he put up 51 points against the Pacers in just 32 minutes. Seeing his performance on Wednesday would make one think the 18 point line tonight is easily attainable, but we can’t let the Pacers game think Joliday scoring 18 points is a lock.
Before Wednesday, Holiday had only eclipsed 18 points twice in his last 10 games. He is averaging 17 PPG in his last 10 games and with the addition of Goran Dragic and the return of Khris Middleton, there are players all across the Bucks’ rotation that are capable of scoring. This gives Holiday less opportunity to score with more options to facilitate scoring for his teammates as the team’s point guard.
Prior to Wednesday, Holiday had only shot 11, 7, 7, and 8 field goal attempts in his last four games and his 30 field goal attempts vs. the Pacers is an anomaly. While Holiday will be crucial to the Bucks gameplan tonight, I expect him to pad the stat sheet with assists, rebounds, and steals while also putting up points, but not reaching the 18 mark.
We’re going under with Holiday tonight.
Jaylen Brown Over 9 Asts + Rebs
Jaylen Brown 9 Assists + Rebound line seems low given his production on the court over the last 10 games. In 8 of his last 9 games, Brown has hit the 9 Assists + Rebounds line and I expect him to keep up his offensive production from an assist standpoint and on both ends of the court for rebounds against the league best Bucks tonight.
The Celtics need Brown to have a big game for the team to be competitive tonight against the number 1 seed in the East. In a nationally televised game against Eastern Conference heavyweights, the Celtics star should show up tonight for a big game.
The Bucks have a smothering defense and will be focused on guarding both Brown and Tatum; this should allow Brown to get opportunities to find open teammates while the Celtics have the ball and dish out to able scorers to hit his assist line. His athleticism and size allows him to average 6 rebounds per game over the Celtics last 10 contests and he is averaging 7 rebounds on the road this season.
This is an easily attainable number for the Celtics star and we’re going to hammer the over tonight on this line. Let’s cash.
