NBA Jock MKT Pick ‘Em – March 23rd – Oklahoma City Thunder at LA Clippers

Ivica Zubac Over 12 Points

I’m surprised at how low this point line is for Zubac given that he has surpassed the 12 point mark in 5 of his last 6 games. Zubac is shooting 67% in his last 10 games, all of which come from around the paint. He has 13, 14, 16, and 19 points in his last 4 games and with Paul George sidelined for the next 2 weeks, Zubac is going to have more opportunity for scoring while the Clippers look to fill the Paul George void.

The Clippers just played against the thunder on Tuesday and Zubac dropped 13 points in just 19 minutes on 5-5 shooting. He is matched up against an undersized center in Jaylin Williams of the Thunder and is going to have Russel Westbrook facilitating more shots for him in Paul George’s absence.

Zubac could easily hit this line in the first half and we’re going heavy on the over 12 point mark. Let’s cash.

Marcus Morris under 1.5 3-Pointers Made

Marcus Morris is going to see some more opportunities on the offensive end tonight with Paul George out. The Clippers power forward is playing a solid 30 minutes per game but doesn’t shoot the ball with high frequency. He was just 3-10 from the floor in the Clippers game against the Thunder on Tuesday and went 1-6 from the three.

Morris has only hit over 1 3-pointer once in his last seven games. Despite averaging 30% from beyond the arc this season, I still don’t like Morris’ line of over 1.5 3-pointers tonight against the Thunder and think a more appropriate line for him would be 1 3-pointer even. While he gets a lot of playing time, the Clippers typically don’t rely on him for scoring and Russel Westbrook and Paul George field goal attempts will go up, which won’t necessarily help Morris hit this line during Clippers offensive possessions.

The line is too high likely due to Paul George absence. Bet the under 1.5 line here tonight and parlay these two picks to cash on Pick ‘Em.
