NBA Jock MKT Pick ‘Em – February 23rd – Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers

Robert Williams Under 1.5 Blocks

The Celtics are a defensive juggernaut with Williams on the floor, but he simply does not get blocks on the road as of late. Since February 6th, Williams has recorded just one block and zero over his last 3 games. Over his last 10 games, Williams averaged less than 1 block per game and even less than when the Celtics are on the road. With Boston headed to Indianapolis Thursday night, expect Williams to have a major defensive impact on the game and make the Pacers work around the paint for mid range shots and from beyond the arc, but don’t count on Williams to cash in on the over 1.5 blocks. We’re going under on the 1.5 blocks line.

Jason Tatum Over 29 Points

The breakout star did not miss a beat during the All Star break, scoring an all time record 55 points Tatum and winning the MVP of the night. Tatum has scored 30 points or more in seven of his past ten games, averaging 28.9 points over that stretch. Dig deeper and over the last 5 games, Tatum averaged just under 33 points per game, not including his record breaking 55 point all star night that included 10 3 pointers. Tatum has been absolutely dominant and has embraced the role of being one of the best players in the game. In the first game back from All Star break against a middle of the pack team, we’re going to hammer the over 29 points for Tatum tonight.

Jason Tatum Over 3 3 pointers

Tatum was the front runner for league MVP just a month ago and ever since Nuggets star Nikola Jokic became the favorite, Tatum has been on an absolute tear. Tatum notched a jaw dropping 16 three pointers over his last 2 contests. With Jaylen Brown back in the starting lineup after missing significant time due to injury, expect Tatum to feast on the 3 point line with the NBA’s best guard duo this season back in action. Jaylen Brown will command attention from the Pacers defense, which will leave Tatum open for opportunities around the floor. We’re taking his over 29 points and to get there, we think he’s going to get hot from beyond the arc. We’ve seen Tatum hit over three 3 pointers in one quarter and are confident he is going to crush this line tonight. Tatum over three 3 pointers, let’s cash.
