NBA Jock MKT Pick ‘Em – March 8th – Dallas Mavericks at New Orleans Pelicans

Brandon Ingram Over 30.5 Pts + Asts

Brandon Ingram has been padding the stat sheet lately as he is not only the Pelicans number one scoring option, but he has been able to get his teammates scoring opportunities when opposing defenses focus on guarding him.

In four of his last six games, Ingram has surpassed the 30.5 Points + Assists mark with ease. When Ingam gets hot, he can pass the 30 line combination mark with just points as he did against the Trailblazers last week with 40 points and against the Raptors the week before with 36 points.

In the last six games, Ingram has dished out 7, 4, 5, 5, and 3 and 3 assists respectively, allowing him to go over the 30.5 line four times.

Against one of the worst defensive teams in the league in the Mavericks and with Ingram creating a mismatch for the Mavericks defenders, Ingram should hit this line with ease. Add the fact that he’s almost logging 40 minutes per game and we’re going to absolutely hammer the over 30.5 Pts + Asts line tonight on Jock MKT.

Jonas Valanciunas Over 11 Rebounds

Jonas Valanciunas almost seems like a forgotten member of a stacked Pelicans team. While the starting center doesn’t make the highlight reel often, he quietly puts up a double- double in every game he plays in.

In his last five games, Valanciunas has surpassed the 10 rebound mark four times and even grabbing 12 rebounds twice in that span.

He has a significant height advantage of Christian Wood of the Mavericks and is an elite rebounder compared to opposing center Dwight Powell, who 3, 4, 4, and 3 rebounds in his last four games.

Valanciunas will get opportunities on both ends of the court to grab rebounds tonight and the 11 rebound line should be an easy hit for him against the Mavericks.

Let’s cash the over with Valanciunas.

Kyrie Irving Over 33.5 Pts + Asts

Kyrie Irving notched 33 points (10-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 10-10 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 39 minutes during Tuesday’s 120-116 victory over the Jazz. The Mavs guard turned in yet another 30-plus point performance and also found success distributing the basketball. He’s now scored 30+ points and dished out 6+ assists in each of his last three matchups, including one 40-point performance. It’s also worth noting that Irving got to the charity stripe 10 times Tuesday night and is 17-for-17 from the line over his last two games.

Over his last three games, Irving has hit 12 3-pointers and has a combined 21 assists. Being such a prolific scorer, whether it is driving to the lane, getting to the free throw line or hitting the long ball, it would not be surprising for Irving to hit the over on points alone. Adding in his recent surge in assists since joining the Mavs, this is the easiest prop bet of the night.

Bet big on the over line tonight.
