Jock MKT NFL Super Bowl Pick’em – Wide Receivers

Hey everyone,

Its Andrew from Jock MKT back to give you my Super Bowl picks for our Pick ‘Em contest this Sunday. We swept our AFC championship picks and are feeling confident about our QB props for Super Sunday. Join me in the Pick ‘Em challenge and let’s crush again.

Marquez Valdes Scantling U 36.5 Rec Yards

Despite Valdes Scantling having a monster game against the Bengals in the AFC Championship game, where he went for 116 yards at a Touchdown, we need to take a closer look at his game history to see why we need to take the under in this one.

Valdes Scantling ended the season with just 1 game where he caught for 30+ yards with many of those games only seeing 2 targets. The Chiefs have so many weapons across the field and with Kelce being Mahomes’ favorite target, it is difficult to think Valdes Scantling is going to see much opportunity against the Eagles stingy backfield.

Speaking of backfield, we can’t forget to mention the Eagles also have the number 1 passing defense as a whole this year, so expect them to make sure Valdes Scantling is covered as to not repeat his performance against the Bengals.

We’re going under on this one.

Devonta Smith O 61.5 Rec Yards

This one almost seems too good to be true, but we must look to hammer the over on this line. Smith has gone for over 60+ receiving yards in 9 of his last 10 games and has even eclipse the 100 receiving yard mark in the 3 of those contests.

With AJ Brown commanding a lot of attention as the number 1 receiver and with the Eagles having an extremely crafty running game, there are plenty of options for Smith to find himself open down field with all the other distractions that the Chiefs defense must deal with.

Adding to the mix is that Jalen Hurts has targeted Smith at least 8 times in 9 of their last 10 games, which makes hitting the 60+ yard mark an almost guaranteed lock. His longest reception yards have hit up to 40 yards, so he could potentially hit this mark with just 2-3 catches on Sunday.

Let’s lock in the over 61.5 line on Sunday.
