NBA Jock MKT Pick’Em – February 23rd – Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Draymond Green Over 6.5 Assists

With Steph Curry still sidelines from his leg injury, Draymond Green will need to step up and cover a higher workload tonight vs. the Lakers.

While the Warriors have able scorers around the floor with Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole, they need a facilitator to help get them open shots; this is where Draymond is at his best.

Draymond can be a low key triple double threat every night, especially on the assists line. He has gone over 6 assists in 4 of his last 5 games and even notched 10 assists in one of those games, which was against the Lakers.

He has been playing a big role with over 30+ minutes of action each night, which gives him plenty of opportunity to get his teammates involved and crush this 6.5 assist line tonight.

With Jared Vanderbilt from the Lakers matched up against Draymond and with the Lakers subpar defense against a team that can space the floor out and score from anywhere, we are going to hammer the over on the Warriors floor general tonight.

Klay Thompson Over 4.5 3 Pointers Made

Klay has been shooting from deep at an extremely high volume as of late. In his last 5 games he has shot from beyond the arc 7, 13, 13, 19, and 16 times. With Steph out, expect Klay to shoot double digit attempts from the 3 line.

Being that he is one of the most able scorers from deep in the league, if he Klay gets hot early, he’ll continue to shoot from deep and has the potential to crush this 4.5 line in the first half.

Klay and Jordan Poole have become the main scoring options when Steph is out, and in these games Klay has scored as high as 42 points.  Klay also creates a mismatch for the new Lakers additions from the trade deadline and will likely have a combination of Andrew Wiggins and Malik Beasley guarding him. Expect Klay to take advantage of the switches on defense and get open for his quick release from deep and crush the 4.5 3 point line tonight. We’re going over.
