LeBron James Over 6 Assists
The Lakers were on a roll to end the regular season winning 8 of their last 10 games, including a buzzer beater victory against the Utah Jazz to clinch the 8th seed where LeBron assisted on the last play of the game to Dennis Schroeder.
The 6-assist line seems a bit low today as LeBron is going to be dominant and look to humble a Memphis team is overly confident in their resume. LeBron has hit the 6-assist line in 7 of his last 10 games and dished out as many as 11 assists vs. the Rockets during this run. He is averaging close to 7 assists on the season and exactly 6 assists per game vs. the Grizzlies. LeBron’s assist average is slightly higher on the road with 6.5 per game this season.
Playoff LeBron is a force to be reckoned with and the Lakers are on a mission to make a deep run this postseason after missing out on the entire playoffs last year. I can see LeBron putting up close to a triple double today and have a monster game. We’re hammering the over 6 assist line against the Grizzlies.
Jaren Jackson Over 7.5 Rebounds
The Grizzlies Power Forward has been a rising star for both the team and in the league this season. While he is averaging 6.8 rebounds on the season and 7 rebounds per game vs the Lakers, Jackson has hit the 8-rebound line in 7 of the Grizzlies’ last 10 games. His production in his last 10 games on the boards has been a significant increase in bringing up his season averages.
He plays major minutes for the team averaging 32 per game in April, so there is ample opportunity for him on both ends of the court to lock in rebounds. Combine this with Steven Adams officially being ruled out for the postseason, the team is going to be relying heavily on Jackson on the boards.
At 6’11, Jackson matches up well against Anthony Davis. He is younger and more athletic, and I expect him to be dominant on the boards for the Grizzlies today as the Lakers next highest rebounder is LeBron and he will need to save his energy for orchestrating the Lakers offense.
Jackson and over 7.5 rebound line today. Let’s cash.
