Nick Lodolo Over 7 Strikeouts

Nick Lodolo will be a household name by the 2023 season. The lefty was snagged by the Cincinnati Reds with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 MLB draft, and he’s been making waves ever since.

Lodolo authored the most dominant performance of his career in his last outing, which was also against the Phillies. He limited the Phillies to just five total baserunners over seven shutout frames. It was a career night for the young lefty, as he fanned 12 batters and generated 15 swinging strikes and only allowed 3 hits. The 25-year-old burgeoning fantasy ace has allowed just two runs with a 21/4K/BB ratio across 12 innings (two starts).

With a fastball that usually clocks in around the low-to-mid 90s, a killer slider, and a changeup that keeps batters guessing, Lodolo has shown excellent command and control on the mound. This allows him to be a strikeout machine, and his O/U will certainly be higher in his next start. Take the over in strikeouts for the young Reds phenom as he has already proven his dominance over this Philadelphia lineup.  This Philadelphia lineup just isn’t the same without guys like Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins, and Jean Segura in the meat of that lineup.

Hammer the over 7 strikeouts tonight.

Jonathan India Over 1 Total Base

The 2021 ROY winner had a rough go his sophomore season. Battling injuries and inconsistency through the season, India generated an OPS+ of 91 in 2022, far below his 116 of the previous year. This season, Reds second baseman has looked fantastic. With 42 plate appearances, India’s generated a slash line of .310/.420/.452. He’s also managed to drop his strikeout rate to 16% (vs. 21.8% in 2022) while increasing his walk rate to 14% (vs. 7.2% in 2022).

Coming off a night in which India went 3-5 with a double, RBI and a run scored, India is riding a 5-game hit streak coming into this evening. India is hitting .389 with 2 strikeouts at home this year and .250 with 6 strikeouts on the road. India is playing at home tonight, so expect the streak to continue and take the over 1 total base for the former 4th overall pick.

We’re riding the over tonight on India to hit the over on 1 total base.

Nick Castellanos Over 1 Total Base

Castellanos has been absolutely on fire lately. He’s currently on a six-game hit streak, and over the last seven days, he’s batting an impressive .400. That kind of consistent hitting is always a good sign for a total bases bet, but what’s even more exciting is that Castellanos has historically performed well against left-handed pitchers.

Despite facing one of the best lefties in the league in Nick Lodolo tonight, Castellanos has been hitting .415 against left-handed pitchers this season. He has a good chance of making solid contact against Lodolo, especially considering he was the only Philly to have any success when they faced off on April 8th.

Cash the over on the 1 total base line with the current production of Castellanos.
