Here are the Fair Value rankings and IPO prices for Thanksgiving along with some of my picks!
Buy: Deshaun Watson ($19.79)
If not for the ineptitude of the Texans organization, Watson would be a borderline MVP candidate this season. He is virtually the most expensive player on the board this week, priced just $0.66 less than Lamar Jackson but more than $4 more than Ben Roethlisberger and with good reason. The Lions’ pass defense is a joke and Watson should slice them up all afternoon. He may have 4 or 5 TDs before the turkey is carved.
Buy: Terry McLaurin ($8.80)
Here’s a fun stat: through 24 career games, McLaurin has 1,790 yards while Jerry Rice had just 1,757. Even more fun, McLaurin is tied for 2nd among WRs this season with 12 broken tackles, trailing only super-human AJ Brown. A date with the Cowboys defense will only serve to help McLaurin pad both of those totals and get YOU in the money.
Buy: Gus Edwards ($2.19)
All aboard the Gus-Bus this week. He has an opportunity to be a true bell-cow with both Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins testing positive for Covid after Sunday’s game. For a frame of reference, Edwards had full run of the backfield Week 17 of 2019 with Mark Ingram resting. He was on the field for 70% of the snaps and received twice as many carries as Thursday’s backup, Justice Hill. Edwards has a very high floor and has the capacity to absolutely smash his projection.
Don’t Buy: Matt Stafford ($12.60)
Everything went wrong for the Lions and Stafford last week. With both De’Andre Swift and Kenny Golladay on the shelf, they did not even reach the redzone against the Panthers. Both players remain banged up and neither are sure to be activated before Thursday, stay away from Stafford.
Don’t Buy: CeeDee Lamb ($5.80)
The Washington Football Team has assembled one of the best defenses in the NFL, allowing the fewest passing yards per game in the league and the 2nd least points to opposing WRs. Lamb is a special talent, but there are much better buys on the board here.
